I'm just wondering why every time I order from RH they are out of stock on several items I need...every single time. I have my name on the "to be notified" list on a few items, and they seem to trickle in, but they never seem to get enough in to have stock on hand at least most of the time... Anyone else notice this? Alright , I'm done whining, but I had to get it out...

Anything in particular? I have seen several times where they are out of Kontronic motors and Kontronic ESC's. Also the Voltz batteries, I don't know if they even exist.

I notice it. Its the only thing that bums me out about mikado.

RH can only sell what they get, and mikado seemingly needs to send more stuff our way, ramp up production, and have more distributors.

if mikado go back to the day when they have vendor in almost every state
the price of the stuff is going right back up the vbar will go back to 600 . after they decide to let RH be the sole vendor the price on the heli part was slash in half

I dont believe thats true. How can the price go up selling more parts to multiple distributors?

If RH could get all they needed, there would be no need for more vendors. Mikado needs to bump up production that is all IMO.

Good point. I like RH service, just want more parts.

But, easy for you east coasters to say. Id like a midwest dist. point. Call me selfish.

Yeah it is all good unless you live in the same state and have to pay tax

Id take parts+tax over a wait for parts.

I get my stuff fast always from Billings, as I would from RH if I was closer.

Id try, but cant justify to the wife moving closer due to parts availability of my fav heli(s).

Anything in particular?
Several different items:
When I needed FBL Mik to TR head conversion parts, they were out of some.
Voltz batts
Kon Jives
Kon parts, right now I have two helis down because I don't have a second Jive BEC cable. I would settle for a couple Kontronik Toroidal Cores, but I can't get those either!
And yes, Mikado stuff in general. I was ready to pull the trigger on a new Logo 600SE kit, but the only Mik canopy I liked was "out of stock", and if you buy it separately later, you pay a bunch more money for it...they lost the sale.
These are only a few times I've experienced this "out of stock" problem. It never fails on every order.

Prices dropped due to competition, not exclusivity. Exclusivity is an attempt to block competition and maintain premium pricing.

Enjoy things that money can buy IF you don't lose the things money can't buy.

You can use any cable for the second one as long as it is a quality one. Also are you in need of the ferrite rings???

These aren't the same "Ferrite Rings" that you're used to! Kontronik's Toroidal cores are specially built from a nanocrystalline substance to filter noise out better than any Ferrite Ring ever could.

This is from the RH web site. BTW, they don't have the "Ferrite Ring" in stock either...

This topic is really getting old. It was just beat to death four days ago.

The bottom line is 99% of the people in this hobby are impulse buyers. When they have money in their pocket they want to spend it right that second. When something is out of stock, they get angry and blame the retailer.

The truth is, your frustration should not be directed toward ReadyHeli but instead the manufactures. If ReadyHeli could order and receive 1000 quantity of every item they gladly would. They are a business like any other and exist to sell product and make money. No product, and they make no money. Why would they willingly put themselves in that position?

Bart, as for Jive BEC cables and toroidal rings. Save your money and frustration, you don't need either. First, someone with the amount of RC stuff you have should posses the tools to make your own cables. There is absolutely nothing special about the Kontronik versions. As for the rings, they are a relict of the 72mhz era and wasted weight on your 2.4ghz helicopter. Manufactures keep shipping them with their ESC's because they don't cost anything and just in case that one guy who still owns 72mhz orders one.

Adding more retailers for a given product will only thin out the available quantity even more. In other words instead of just ReadyHeli being out of stock, you will have ten different dealers out of stock. Which will leave you with the same frustration you have now.

I feel its a legitimate topic. You have to right to voice your opinion, but your verbage and use of bold is near bullying.
You are not the God of this forum.

Play nice guys. I understand what Anthony.L is saying. This very issue was just recently discussed in another thread. It turns out that Mikado has only so much manufacturing capacity. If Readyheli is frequently out of other items besides Mikado products, it makes sense that it is for the same reason - limited supply from the manufacturer.

Stretching that limited supply over multiple retailers would just makes things worse. Also, the RC Flight Store in Canada carries Mikado products. Try there if RH is out.

BTW, Tyler, I like your new signature. You probably did not make Paul Beard's day with that one.

BTW, I confirmed that RC Flight Store in Canada is a direct Mikado/Vbar dealer and does not go through ReadyHeli. So if ReadyHeli is out of stock there is another option in North America. The price is the same, albeit the difference in shipping and any duty fees.

Sometimes people don't like to hear the hard truth when it's opposite of what they want to hear.

On the line of recently discussed topics..

what batteries for my xxx?
what pinion for my xxx?
Should I get a 700?
What servos are best?
Can I run bls451 on 2s lipo?
Are fbl systems any good?

There are a crap load of more recently posted items that are a regular on the forums. They will show up everyday. Are you going after them?

I belong to forums that go for the throat whenever a noob asks a question that the answer is somewhere buried in the archives. I dont like that behavior, and enjoy this forum due to the friendliness, and willingness to help. Not everyone is well informed.
