I can't seem to easily find the post to reference to, but AvantRC posted recently a list of all the new changes for the 2010 model year which included upgraded dampeners, a smooth spindle, and a couple of other items. But to paraphrase (from memory), the new e-Aurora kits should ship worldwide with a 4mm main shaft pin, main shaft with 4mm hole for the pin, sleeve with 4mm hole for the pin, and drive hub with 4mm hole for the pin. In addition, the new e-Aurora kits will also come with the new frames to accommodate the larger batteries.

My apologies. I thought you were asking about the electric.

I'm not currently flying a nitro Aurora so I am not familiar with recent changes to the kit, but let me try and find an answer for you from someone who does know.

i got a kit in january it came with the 3mm pin but got the up grade from agusto due to a problem that needed sorting with the kit :-)

the extra holes in the frames mean nothing putting the gyro there is not a good idea due to vibrations .anyway drilling 4 holes is not a problem

I don't believe that the UK has had a shipment from Avant since last September 2010. I say this as I have been waiting to get some of the newer parts from a UK retailer since September and Midlands (UK Distributor) seemed to have never received stock of some of the newer parts in September and still don’t have. The 2010 spec kits were only shipped to US dealers some time after September. For this reason I would feel doubtful that any of the Nitro kits available in the UK are the 2010 spec.

These are the differences between the older kits and the new 2010 spec as posted on the Avant support forum.
http://www.avantrc.com/support/showthread.php?t=1036
The latest changes have been:

1) AV900240 - Smooth Spindle
2) AV000130 - Semi-rigid dampeners.
3) AV900239 - 4mm jesus pin hole in main shaft.
4) AV000801 - 4mm jesus pin.
5) AV900223 - 4mm pin hole main sleeve.
6) AV900211 - slightly enlarged constant drive gear for tighter mesh.
7) AV910300, 301 - Nitro frames have both back and top front gyro mount locations.
8) AV920350, 351 - Electric frames have new longer slots for large heavy batteries.
9) AV000108 - Electric frames have an extra 26mm spacer
10) AV000100 - Electric now has square mainshaft bearing blocks instead of the ones used in the nitro for no need for block orientation.
11) AV920350, 351 - Electric frames now have ESC on the left side
12) AV000123, 124 - Metal balls fit without a need to resize or squeeze the ball links
13) AV900202 - Torque tube is stiffer and harder

New in current batch of kits or about to be released:
1) New flybarless head needed a stronger solid mainshaft that will become the new default for all the kits.
2) AV000115 - Flybar carrier mounting sleeves allow for more thread inside the flybar carrier.
3) AV000801 - Tail pulley shaft pins are now easier to insert.

Additional to those all kits both nitro and electric now come with painted canopies.

you do get the smooth spindle and dampers in the kit as well as the old type spindle that was done before the 2010 kit came out. my kit from fast lads had both types in anyway.
