Hello all, im doing a new 700n fresh build. I know im not the first to have this issue, my main concern is which is the best mod for it. The fuel line entering the side member with the grommet is directly running into the pump on the ys. Any ideas or pics of your setup would be awesome.

In the past when I ran this engine I usually just gave the fuel line mentioned above some extra slack to be able to run under the regulator instead of behind it like you have it....

Hope this helps

two alternatives

1. Run the fuel supply from the tank from the outside hole.

2. Run the fuel line through the lower frame hole/grommet

It works better if you run your fuel line on the outside of the frames instead of on the inside. So just use the plug on the inside hole. See the picture below.

new 700

I should have included this with the above post. Should i upgrade fuel line and shutoff ? The pinch style oem kinda seem like a pain.

There is nothing wrong with the stock cutoff. If you would like to use a different cutoff thats fine.

I've seen the stock T filter come loose a little and leak air, something to watch for. The stock lines seem to work fine for me on the outside of the tank, on the inside I like to use Hayes clunk line. Since I now store the heli with a full tank of fuel the stock lines would probably work for me anyway but I'll use the black Hayes line inside the tank anyway with a fuel magnet.

This is how i did mine. I drilled out the bottom hole and used a rubber gromet to hold the fuel T with the fuel line attached. Works great and clean.

I run mine on the outside of the frames and I use the side hole of the tank with a fuel magnet with absolutely no issues. Here is a picture.

Fuel magnet or better yet, Lynx M.O.A.S instead of stock clunk. Hayes line inside, dubro or equal outside. Middle hole plugged. I drilled another hole for the pressure line. The one-way valve is just after the pressure line points upward after coming out of the crankcase and doing a 180 degree turn. After the one-way valve I installed a tee with a line run through the frame to relieve tank pressure after a flight. Works well.

Its not a pump.

Maybe you'd better lie down, eh? Why don't you just lie down until rigor mortis sets in?
