Ill get my trex 550 flying around doing some 3d with no problems heli holds great, but after a good amount of 3d flying and I come back into a hover I found that my heli dont wanna hold like it did. It wants to drift to the right hard. and not wanna hold. Tail still holds great. Anyone have this problem or know how to fix it?

After you flew heli might have settled in and has a vibration . Go thru and make sure everything is still tight . Sounds like a vibration issue .

I stole it ,flew it and gave it back ;)

Check pinion mesh , when flying hard it gets hot and distorts causing vibrations , then cooling before next flight . Too tight mesh or tracking of blades try 1/2 turn on links both shorter and longer to see if tracking looks better or worse just to confirm it's tracked . Also I know oneway bearing can cause vibes ,try to lube .there are many things that could cause issues .

What kind of mounting tape ??

I stole it ,flew it and gave it back ;)

No, in hover it should never drift regardless.

I had a similar issue and found that the Auto Trim was activated.

I just missed it in the program, so check yours.

If it is active make sure to clear it out.

Yes, that could cause severe drifting, true.

Autotrim

Even if the box is checked, it will not effect anything unless you activate it on power up.

NOT exactly true.

Go activate it and then fly normally.

It is just plain funky feeling!

So, something is active even when not "officially" activated.

The tail definitely drifted when the box was checked.

I unchecked it, cleared it, and all was fine.

This was on my T700N.

Well I'm very interested to hear who is right on the auto-trim debate. I've been flying my Logo with it default enabled. I understood it only made a difference when you start with full collective to enable auto-trim just for that flight?

Autotrim does nothing if checked but not activated at boot with pitch at full/double swashjump
So having the checkbox checked inself does nothing except that It can start autotrim at boot...
