I've seen it done,but my attemps usually end up as a funnel of sorts,or a vertical aileron roll.whatever happens it's usually ugly.

for me its the transition...i get a slight elev. problem on the first one but then it comes in smooth

Helixangle,what is the correct way to enter,starting off with a funnel,or fff then flip the tail as you enter the turn?

No "have to do it this way" IMO, whatever feels right to you.

I always seem to transition:

TO invert funnel FROM Hurricane,

TO funnel FROM running backwards side toc, stall turn-tail slide, traveling piro flip

I do funnel figure eight from funnel to inverted funnel and back again, left rudder.

I find the transition in the center works best if you stretch the figure eight a bit, enough to feel the transition. almost no stick movement, very subtle, very difficult to control the urge to over react

Helixangle,
I can get into the first half fine,but seem to loose it when I transition to the other half.Stretching the figure eight does make sense,as well as not using too much input.I guess i'm trying to make them too tight and that's where things get out of whack.
thanks for the good info,I guess some serious sim practice in in order.
are there any good practice manuvers that will help with the transition?
