On my 5.1.6 setup, my governor magnet light is always on, and it goes off when I pass over the magnet.

I thought this was normal, until I watched MrMel's videos, in his example, the magnet indicator only lights up in the software when the magnet is sensed.

I'm using the GV-1 sensor, I've tried two, same results.

Any suggestions? Some kind of polarity issue with the sensor wires?

Pretty sure it's normal for GV1 (I have not tested though), but I do know GV1 does not work with ATG because it's reversed in its signal so it makes sense.

I think VBar does not care though, it just counting how many passes.
(I know Gv1 sensor was used in beta)

Ahh, so the VBar governor control loop is just counting on, off, on, off, etc, and not measuring any duration?

Thanks for all your help, videos are great!

I do not know exactly how the control loop works in that manner either way, I do know people ran GV1 sensors in the beta so try it, should work.

GV1 sensor is indeed inverted and linear. Signal increases near the magnet.

Most other sensors are ON/OFF latch type sensors.
