these forums were very helpful, this is my first heli ever, been flying planes for 2years... whilst flying planes I was on the sim a lot with helis... decided I needed a challenge... reading on these forums I was able to get to where I am now in 3weeks... and if I have to count the actual hours, it would be only about 2days (48hours)... I wanted help from local pro's but none was around... once I understood the heli lingo it was fairly simple to get round setting up just from reading... I hovered for 10tanks only (over 2weeks time) to get the engine run in first, then I decided to get a flight in...

here is a clip to see where I am at currently...

differences between planes and helis in my experience so far:

planes are easier to fly than helis, but hard to land compared to helis
in turn helis are easy to land but takes more to fly than a plane...

(only applicable to flying around, 3D is something totally different, I am very far from that - flying helis 3D is way more difficult than planes)

2100 I have read is max... but mostly 2050 is said to be the top range preferred... not that I want to get there... for the next couple of months 1800 will do till I start flying well enough and up my flying speed...

doubt I will get there ever too... I have a stock type pipe with OS50SX-H... using 20% Morgan Green fuel... HSN is set at 1.5 turns, could lean more but it runs awesome so not changing... pinch is 6s... want to lean LSN more to get more or less 3s...
