I'm building a new 600n le and was wondering if the clutch nut is supposed to be tight to the bearing and have lock tite. Dumb question I know but the directions are a little unclear. thanks. This thing is gonna be alot of fun!

If "clutch nut" refers to the nut that is on the crankshaft, than yes. I put the fanholder and fan on, tighten the nut with loctite, than tighten the clamping screws down on the fan holder.

I have heard of people leaving the nut loose or off and just counting on the clamping action of the fan holder to do everything, but have never tried it.

If you mean the aluminum nut that holds the bearing on the pinion on the clutch bell, that also should have some removable (blue) loctite on it. Just be careful, as usual, not to get loctite in the bearing by putting the loctite on the threads of the nut instead of pinion threads. Pinion should also be loctited to clutch bell.

Thanks RJ. I was just gonna snug up the nut against the bearing being careful not to crush the bearing and use loc-tite. Now as far as the pitch slider...I need the "good one" I guess...gee thanks again Align..lol

With Align stuff, it wears out anyway, so might as well use the pitch slider it came with and upgrade when it gets worn out.

Yeah but I don't want to have that plastic piece break in flight...and break my good carbon blades and other stuff. I wonder if an Evo 50 flybar would work on the 600n. The stock one is also known to break..

Uh-Oh, didn't know the plastic ones have broken in flight...that would be a very bad thing. Any 3mm flybar should work, the Align one is kind of soft.

Yeah, I did a search and found the plastic slider has been known to split at the seam. I'll get everything setup first then make the call after I guess. Thanks for the help and I'm gonna post some pics later after work..

Rob if your tail pitch slider has the brass insert in it that is the better one. You can also get the metal one. I am building the 3G version and it will be ready by the time I can get to the field. Chuck

Well, I thought about the 55 but I have 2 Hypers...1 is brand new and the other is out of my old 600 with many flights on it. I just put the 2nd rear bearing in it. I guess I'll put the 50 in for now. I should have you guys order the pitch slider for me..
