Hi

Just updated from V5 to V5.1.6, no probs with the update in fact very simple, however I'm having problems setting the throttle linkage.

I have a 0-50-100 throttle and pitch curve's, I then set throttle / esc control by collective on and set my throttle end points to -108 / 108 to give me full range of throttle movement, I then turn off the throttle / esc control by collective and my throttle servo then will only output -100/100 and not the -108/108 that I need for full throttle range. Is this correct or am I doing something wrong??

Cheers
John

108 is just calibration. 100% in the program is what you want

That's normal, "Channel" will read max +-100, the endpoints in the GovII step will determine how much the servo will move.

108 sets my servo travel ie full open / full closed (gov 2 tab). The calibration thats set in my tx is -117/117 with L38 in sub trim. the problem is that when I turn off the throttle / esc control by collective I do not get full travel of my throttle..

Are you using Spektrum?
Can you try swapping/rebinding to "Spektrum Satellite Digital Center", that way it will remove the need for subtrim.

It might solve it (the need for subtrim limit the overall throw possible)
Let me know, else I will head down and do a test...

One thing first, make sure Servo output in the Radio does not differ between Throttle and Collective, in case you actually have some trim etc.

OK I have rebound using "Spektrum Satellite Digital Center" reset my subtrim and -104/104 in the atv's for 100% output (transm tab). I turn on the throttle / esc control by collective and I have set the throttle servo adjustment to -100/+116 to give me full throttle movement, I flick back to govI tab and the "output socket on vbar" shows -100/+116. I then turn off throttle / esc control by collective and go back to govI tab and now the "output socket on vbar" shows -100/+100 and this then shows on my reduced throttle movement.

Hope this makes sense

Hmm, Test this, use ATV on throttle channel to make the numbers match, Must be a "bug", will alert VBar people of it, but it works here when I test it.

Or adjust linkages so you are under 100/100 which also works.

To clarify, I tested if I adjust throttle ATV to match the "Motor off" and Full throttle numbers, the servo does not move, i.e. you get same travel, that's what I mean with that I have tested it.

I do not think it will have any implications on rest (Just theory, cannot test anything more than that)

But like I said, this only occur if you have above 100, below 100 it works like it should.

Spoke to them, it's actually like this it works, set endpoints, then just ATV/Trim on low side if needed (for the difference) to set Idle/Off.

On High side governor has control and will use full throw.
