Well I know they opened the boxes but don't know if they knew about the X in corner. Buddy said they were looking at numbers behind the battery.
They were looking at the PID in the battery compartment. It's not a sure way to determine if it's one of the unlucky 400. Some had the same PID I do and did not need to send it in to get the update for v2.0 compatability. Mine is on it's way back from HH now after the update. Looks like total downtime will be about 10 business days.

I guess 10 days isn't that bad of a turnaround. Thanks for the great info
So your saying out of all DX8 made only 400 had issue?
