I just bought a TREX 600 N LE and am very frustrated setting up swash to have proper throws.

It maybe how I'm defining what the problem is actually, so let me explain this first.

Facts:
Cyclic Servos all neutral (cenetered)
Aileron Belcranks neutral, elevator ARM is 90 deg.
Mid stick shows 0 deg pitch.
All push rods from bell cranks up through head EXACTLY correct lengths.
Radio cyclic mixing: 55%
Current programmed maximum pitch +11.5/-11.5
Maximum aileron / elevator deflection 8 deg.

Problem: When I have move to full negative pitch and give full aileron or elevator deflection the swash hits the colar for the main shaft.

I spoke with two hobby shops that stated this is normal for a Trex.

I wish I could raise the swash plate, I it has more room at the top, but does not seem to be a way with new fixed arm of the elevator.

Common issue with the LE. The swash is taller then previous models. 2 ways that I know how to fix this.

1. Quick UK swash, its thinner and will allow more throw.

2. Install the locking collar above the 'lower' bearing block. I have it done this way and it works fine. Been that way for a year now with about 5 cases of fuel thru the heli.

.... And of course u know the last option, go fbl

Very helpful information. Link is important to know to flip bearing blocks to ensure load is not retaining ring of bear blocks.

I'm glad it is recognized as real issue; I was really think was really crazy.

Thanks for the very helpful posts.

NP

I just left it alone, but plan on changing it on the next crash. For now +13/-11 works good for me....

When I had a 600N I flipped both main shaft blocks and ran two collars one against each block on the inside. Never had an issue and no more rubbing.
