I can't imagine what it would be like to have a Tareq vid be the first vid a person sees.
Well, I probably would have said "I can never do that." and given it up right there.

Hey what's that long aluminum thing hanging off his transmitter

I see his belt slaps around in the boom like mine does. You can hear it if you listen closely.

High Voltage just works better

My first heli was a BLADECP.I bought it in March of 07 with tax refund money.I had 0 heli experience and absolutely NO knowledge of any type of 3D flying. My intention was to learn to hover, then FF.I was intending to fly it in a scale like manner, like full size, cause I THOUGHT..LOL...thats all you could do.

So I found RR,started watching vids and had tail in hovering down pretty well.So in July of that year after flying for about 4 months(actually, not much flying, more like 1 or 2 flights and waiting for tail motors/parts)I was invited to go to Helis Over Delaware.Well at HOD,I got to see Alan Szabo,Bobby Watts,Justin Jee,and a bunch of REALLY great local pilots.Man it was AWESOME to say the least.

I picked my jaw up off the ground, went and bought a sim,got a NON motor-tail heliand here we are.I am making my way into the 3D world(going slow, on purpose, working on precision too) and LOVING every min of it.I have 5 helis including a 50 nitro and 50 size elec,I fly every chance I get,and could not imagine life without helis now. This is THE best hobby in the world IMHO.Seeing those pros up close really opened up the possibilities to what a heli could do.Also, Alan,Bobby and Benny all took the time out to give me advice, answer questions and offer help.It was really cool cause to me at the time I was just tail in hovering, and they treated me like I was just one of the guys.It definately got me hooked and dragged me in full tilt

actually, now that I think about it,that event may have been "The Gathering".As I remember that alan and Bobby were going at it in "the DERBY" it was hillarious and awesome at the same time.

basically, the "derby" is an race around pylons where the last heli flying wins,PERIOD.There were like 15-20 helis entered. No rules and the prize was 1000 bucks if I remember right.Guys were doing ANYTHING to win, including sabatoge, and teaming up to wreck guys,it was a sight to see

+1

Because you are like one of the guys. You fly helis and we all have that in common.
They don't care how good or bad a pilot is. They will help you in most cases when asked.
