I'm looking for some feedback on this set up. I'm running nitro now looking to swich to electric on my Rave.

What pinion should I be running for head speeds?

2X 5000 MAH 6S 65C Thunder Power.

ESC 160HV CC

Motor Xera 4035/2y-600

Thanks,
Chris

Prob around 11, depends on what you want for headspeed. Is that a motor you already have?

That motor is a beast. I'd go with a 12T pinion and govern it at 2150.

I do not have the motor. I'm just trying to figure out a good set up for my first 90 electric. I have also been looking at the Kontronik 120HV and the Pyro 700-52. Any thoughts on that.

Thanks,
Chris

+1 on the Jive 120HV.
As for motors just about anything from Xera, Scorpion, or Kontronik will will. The Xera 4035-2Y (600kv) that you are looking at will make big power if that's what you are looking for. I ran the Xera 4030-3Y (470kv) in my ENV for a long time and was very happy. It now has a Scorpion 4525-520 in it. The Scorpion is capable of more power but the way I fly I do not use it to its fullest.

I am really leaning toward the Jive 120HV. I have not been able to really fine any bad reports about it. Where on the other hand for CC I have. The Jives BEC also meets my needs at 6v if changed with the programming card. As far as motors, the Xera appeals to me because it's local if it needed serves of any kind.

Danny out of these 3 motors can you give me some idea of performance compared to one another?

I have a Jive and love how smooth it feels, the only downside is it doesn't have a bail out feature (yet).
