Had a great time last year, until the Fire. If you want to gets lots of flying in, show up before noon on Saturday. For those who go to Neon Cactus on Friday night, usually don't show up at the field until after noon.

New Management but same Funfly

All,

Just wanted to throw in my 2 cents or 2 Swiss France as it may be, to say that the rumble is under new management for a couple of years as I live the good life in Europe. However, I have been assured that the same great philosphy will remain - open flying, good food and people. Just a no hassle funfly.

I am looking forward to the great stories and good pictures from the 2011 Event.

Someone shot an Auto for me!!!

Erik

Guys,

I just got word....

The club has given us the green light for another Night-fly Competition, and Auto Contest. Prize with be $100 cash for each.
Many of the local club members (non Heli Pilots) usually come out and watch this event, so I would expect there would be a fair number of spectators.

We will have a sound system, and can provide music or if you want to bring your own - either a CD or MP3 player. Saturday night after the catered meal we will start the event, and if you don't want to compete, that's fine, bring your night fly gear anyways.
Last years Night-flying was great and we hope a few of you can put on a show again.

Few more things in the works, Will keep you posted...

Frank

Sure hope the rain stops

Down here for Easter with sons and wife. Oldest son is PhD candidate at Purdue. We just checked out the field. Yikes, the Wabash is over the bank and the field is under 2 feet of water at least. Sure hope that dries up good for the folks down here. Bummer, spring is here and they can't get to their field

Yeah, Its flooded big time atm.

Happened last year a week and half before the event and with the help of a large pump and good weather it was ok.

The local club has a second field so there is always a place to fly

Water level is ok

We have had a lot of rain but the field is back to normal. We dont expect any more flooding issues and plans are well underway for the Rumble. Worst case scenario we would change the location to our other field.

The Rumble is ON!

Back up field would be like IRCHA, maybe have it there next year... But the Main Flying field is FINE!
