Hi guys,

I had the privilege of borrowing the brand new YS 120 and its Hatori muffler today to take some pictures and drool over!

The muffler is quite a bit larger than my Hatori SB19 in all dimensions. The rear bearing appears to be the same size as the 91SR one, but there is no nylon ring like the 91SR one. I took some side by side pics so you can compare.

I cannot wait to actually own one and compare it with my 91SR.

Here are the pics:

G

Thanks G,

Looks like they have machined out the liner quite thin for the biger piston, wonder how long that will last.

Also cant wait for one. The carb on the motor is also different by the looks of things?

What is the dimension of the new hatori? It doesn't seem to be any longer or larger in diameter?

The guys that buy this aren't too worried about fuel economy

It's a complex, costly, glow powered anti-gravity machine!

Hi guys,

Does anybody have any close-up pictures of a YS91 (any version) piston and sleeve? I just like to visually compare the thicknesses of the 2 sleeves.

Thanks,
G

HEY G

Have a look here https://rc.runryder.com/helicopter/t612680p1/

That should give you a good idea. I wonder if YS had made a new piston or using one from one of their other motors. BUt the 120 sleeve is thinner.

No problem at all. If that sleeve does not crack with Tareq abusing it with Dubai temps then YS is onto a winner. The Vid with Tim tuning and running the motor looks very good, so lets see when they are done. I love the carb on the 120!
