hey guys... some have given me responses to get my travels 100% both on low and high end for use with the governor... but I am using my throttle curve now to keep the carb open for idle... if I don't then 100% travel on low stick is too much and servo binds, I just cant get the correct combo horns and rod length to give me 0-100 without binding anywhere... my high end is fine and 50% throttle on the stick seems to be carb position 50% open (so at mid stick carb is 50% open or has moved 45degrees of the carb) how will the governor look at my low stick now? will it still start working only on or over 35% throttle stick still? or is my throttle curve messing this up?

What helicopter? What governor?

The fact is if you have a servo horn that has the identical distance from output shaft center to ball center as the throttle arm on your engine you will not have any binding with 100&/100& throws. Also make sure your throttle linkages are 90 degrees. Having one or both of those off will cause binding or less than 100% throws.

Your governor will not work optimally until you get the setup 100/100.

trex600N, ATGv3 governor...

i thought about it now, i will have to make my rod shorter to give less throw on the carb horn... so my servo still travels say 90 degrees but the bottom horn on carb less degrees...

Do what was stated, make the rod center to center the distance between the center of the carb screw to the center of the servo screw it needs to be right on. Same distance out on both arms, 90 degrees from arm to rod.

Do this, and you will be golden!

P.S. I flew a 600N for years and never had an issue getting the throttle to be perfect 100/100 in setup. Just takes some time and trial and error to get right but very worth it.
