I see that you have a preference for the wire dive for elevated tails, has "wind up" been cured or are the components beefier than say the old hawk wires? Man you got more projects going than I could imagine!

well you know, the ol' "wind up" theory isnt exactly what it is always made to be at least in my oppinion. any whipping or wagging in my experiences has always been a gyro sensativity issue. i still have a few ships with the 2mm wire and have no whipping/wind up issues.
i do prefer the flex cable in a raised tail as opposed to the wire/gearbox or belt because it is very simple and easy to install and very reliable
yeah i wont get bored til the year 2067

know that this is not an army EC-145, but as i understand they are off the shelf models. here is a pic of the top of one.
That's the one that would be the same as the Lakota without air conditioning. The only difference is that the 72 has a different antenna on the top than the one on the civilian. I just installed a set of rear cowls today and had a chance to look the top over really well.

Man, had to polish all the windows on one today getting it ready to go to flightline.....what a PIA!

Here's a link to some nice pictures of a med evac model. I pulled one from his sight, note the condenser openings on the left rear cowl and the rear facing tail illumination light found only on the medical evacuation model.

That picture is at an odd angle, the light is pointed straight at the tail rotor! (So the light is actually angled up)
