This is for all the twisted minds that delight in others misery and will open a thread titled "am I scrooed?".
If you've messed up your heli and can't even spell "scrooed" correctly, you are.
If you have the switch fail in flight, you are.
If you have the battery connector fail and leave you w/o control for 30 minutes in the cold and rain while you're Vigor runs out a full tank of fuel on the ground with the motor at high idle and the blades spinning, you are. If you're dumb enough to fill the 20 oz. tank on a vigor just so you can go out in the rain and cold "to check the tracking", you are.
If the one of the internal connections in the battery pack fails during flight, you are.
If the battery comes loose during a pirouette, disconnects itself, and the heli goes crashing into the jungle 500 feet down a cliff, you are.
If you are flying and a drop of rain gets into the Tx switch shutting off the Tx, and your heli crashes out of control into the ocean, you are.
If you crash in a swamp and spend the rest of the afternoon looking for it, you are. If you don't find it, you truly are
If you and your best buddy are the only ones flying at the field and you have a midair destroying both helis, you are.
If the t/b comes off in flight, you are.
If you have an in flight boom strike, you are. If you do it twice, you truly are.
If one of you're t/r blades comes off in flight you are.
If you have the t/r blade and blade holder come off together, go though the rotor head so that your heli wads itself in a ball and crashes to earth, you truly are.
If the canopy comes off in flight and gets eaten by the rotor blades, you are. If the canopy comes off and eats the heli as it goes through the rotor blades so that the heli wads itself in a ball and comes crashing to earth, you are.
If the rotor blade comes off in flight, you are. If the rotor blade comes off in hover and the heli explodes before your eyes, you truly are.
If the main gear strips out in flight, you are. If it happens while your hovering inverted, you truly are.
If your t/r drive belt breaks, and the heli pirouettes madly out of control and finally crashes, you are. If it happens a second time, this time landing on your wife's car destroying the windshield, hood, and fender, you really, really have been scrooed. If neither the auto insurance company nor AMA will pay the $1000.00 repair bill or replacement of the balled up heli, well you know........
Unfortunately, all of the above have happened to me personally during my rather long and eventfull R/C heli life. If, on the other hand, you go out and do a perfect funnel, you are blessed. If you can do it nose in too, even more so. If you can do a perfect four point front flip, you're blessed. If you do a perfect rolling auto and back it in at your feet, you're blessed. If you fly all day with perfect weather and good friends, you are truly blessed. If you have a wife that hangs with you for 14 years and still supports you're heli flying after all of the above, you're the luckiest guy on the planet. I love this sport. May God bless you all. Steve.
