hi

i have been doing some maintenace on my trex 450 se v2 and i am confused, i ordered the above part, it seems the 2 oring type dampers have been changed to a solid rubber but where do i put the washer that comes with it ?

also my auto tail drive gear does not run straight on the belt drive sproket it seems to oscilate up and down, i have changed the main shaft, the auto hub with main dive gear and belt drive gear but i still have the same problem.
All i have left to chage is the one wat bearing shaft. does it sound like i am on the right track and if so is this normal (should i order more than one

thanks for your time

washer goes between damper and blade grip

Try replacing the tail drive gear, probably have a warped one.

Your T-Rex should already have that gold shim installed. It goes in between the radial bearing and thrust bearing in the blade grip.

It's normal for the autorotation gear to oscillate up and down. It will be worse if you overtighten the lower jesus bolt. Just make sure that bolt is snug and be sure to use some thread lock. As long as the auto gear isn't so bad that it's rubbing on the main gear, you'll be fine.

your right i was overtighting the lower jesus bolt, i have loosend it off and now much better,

as for the dampers i had installed them right but what made me dout it was the fact that i still have slight movement in the blade grips on the shaft, i have changed the blade grip bearings, shaft dampers thrust bearings but i still have this slight play, is this normal?

No, there shouldn't be any play there. Are you sure you put those brass shims in there? Take a look in your manual at the exploded parts diagram and make sure you've got everything in the correct order. My T-Rex 450 head is nice and tight, no slop but very free moving.

its definately put together right, its like the bearings are loose on the shaft.i have double checked everything but carnt get rid of this movement.

edit

i am an idiot i was convinced it was play in the bearing, looking at it properly have now found it was the blade grip/pithch arm ball link that was loose, it was the way i was holding the blades while feeling the play that tricked me!

anyway turns out it WAS a good idea to tear the heli apart and check everything, i found numerous things that were wrong or atleast not as good as they could be.

thanks for everyones help

just need to go fly it now!

and then come back here and ask how to fix it
