I have a friend who is going to be in the Tucson area for the next couple months.
He has been to a couple hobby shops but is having trouble hooking up with fellow heli flyers.
He is going to school and has limited time to fly and travel to any flying fields or clubs not fairly close to town.
So if anybody can help my friend find a place to fly close to town I would really appreciated it.
BTW he flies both glow and electric so he would like to find a place to fly his glow heli.

Thanks

George, a pleasure talking with you.

There are three fields within the Tucson area and perhaps another undisclosed field (OutLaw).

1) Tucson Remote Control Club (TRCC)

2) Southern Arizona Modelers (SAM)

3) Catalina RC Modelers

Another field way out younder is Tucson International Modelplex Park Association (TIMPA)

Sorry about the late response, been quite busy catching up after the Holidays.

It would be a pleasure to take your friend to these sites. Just give me a hollar.

I would say the most heli friendly club would be Catalina. It's on the NW side of town. That is the club I belong to and the guys are great when I fly my 450 or 700N alike.

Since I am deployed I am not around flying but I'm usually a the field every weekend. Like I said, have him get a hold of me and I can put him in touch with some people to fly with. Girard Ibanez and our buddy Victor(helineo) are good guys to get hooked up with.

If the wings are traveling faster than the fuselage, it's probably a helicopter
