Here is my cheap method. 2 pieces of old 700 torque tube, some rubber strips, and zip ties. I also rounded off the edges of the tubes with my dremel to keep it from cutting too badly into the rubber. And the rubber is there to keep the tubes from cutting into the carbon supports. I didn't have any issues with my boom to begin with...this was just something that made sense to me..and after seeing someone else's, I just decided to give it a go.

Gassers Rule, Nitros Drool, Electrics...uhhh...Joule?

the Bergen gasser is a fantastic idea and this proves that the trex boom mite not be up to the job . I measured the scraps of the carbon boom the overall thickness is .020 thousandths of an inch .I than pealed the carbon fiber from the aluminum it is only .005 thick its lighter and stiffer but the carbon will crack than you have a .005 thick boom witch will fail. The aluminum boom is .025 thick. The carbon is lighter and stiffer good for a nitro or electric but will not take the vibrations of a gasser . I took scraps of aluminum boom cut to 3 inches slit with a hack saw to fit tight sanded to proper fit locktited if it cracks it will be were I can see it during preflight .Thanks for your help .

Bergen is not on here and Align seems to be an odd ball @ 21.5mm OD.

It is a public sheet, if anyone has Bergen, or other boom data, please add and save it.

Ok I have both so I just measured. My Bergen gasser tail boom is 22.26 mm or 7/8" O.D. I am running 800 mm blades and the tail boom is long. It is the Bergen Intrepid Gasser EB meaning extended boom for 800 mm blades. The tailboom is 37" long and the part number is TWIN110.

The Trex 700 tail boom is 22mm exactly for the O.D.

I don't think 3/4 mm will go into the tail box the frame would split and might fit if I have further problems I will try one thanks.
