I ordered some parts from Airstar back on 12/24/2010, got PayPal conformation of Payment.

Have not received any shipping information or any Emails from Airstar.

Went to site and sent an Email asking about order, also have called them over the past two days, only am able to leave a message. Which I did three times.

Still no responce, what kind of company is this!!

Where is Josef??

Hi guys I'm sure you can imagine due to the holidays and the incredible weather across the United States things have gotten quite hectic for us! The good news is that we are currently catching up in are still here seven days a week for our customers! I do apologize for Airstar International's phone lines ringing off the hook! I am currently trying to get more phone calls answered. We need Josef to keep working on the machines so the Heli's keep coming! And Josef if your reading this.... Get BACK to WORK!

Parts in the mail
Hello Hi Tec,

The parts were mailed out this week with the USPS and should be to your place tomorrow, but Monday at the latest.

We have had a large number of orders and have been filling them in the order in which they were received and apologize for the delay, but are certain you will be happy with the products you are receiving.

Thank you.

Airstar
It can be frustrating at times.... I have been communicating with Nick from Airstar and I can tell you that this guy has been a big help in setting up my mongoose. Airstar Intl. is moving in the right direction by having employees that can assist customers even after hours.

I'm glad that you will be receiving your parts soon

Can't get in touch with Airstar
Does anyone know if they are on vacation or something? I have been trying to get in touch with them for over a month now. I sent in my crashed mongoose for repairs, and I would just like to receive an estimate of how how it will take to get it back in the air. I don't like vetting this out on a public forum, but I am receiving zero response back from them so I just don't know where else to turn for help. If anyone knows what is going on there, please let me know. I have been a customer or theirs for years and have always received incredible service and products. So, this is why I am a bit confused as to where they could be. Thanks!

Have you tried calling them? Their email has been screwed up since they redid the website.

Yes, I tried calling them and I have send numerous Pms on RR. I just tried to call them again and their mailbox is full. I am getting quite annoyed and frustrated. I mean I send them my $3000 helicopter close to two months ago and I have not heard anything from them regarding the repair bill or that they are even looking at it (aside from rainmaker stating that it still looked new). I am just getting frustrated.

We have the same problem here in New Zealand, Josef is great and i generally get hold of him on skype because the company do not seem to reply to emails or pm here on RR much, im not sure if this is because they are overwhelmed with work or have problems with spam, email or just no one to handle customer service and enquiries, i know Josef goes back to work after dinner and works until early hours of the morning. If you get hold of Josef he will help you no end and solve your problems im sure, he's good like that. A friend here in NZ crashed recently and is having no joy getting hold of ASI which is making me think twice about selling my heli, its an awesome ship but no good to me if i cant get parts and or service. A lot of guys here on RR use these for Aerial work as i do this is the best way to ruin a business if you can't fly and service our own customers. I recently wanted to advertise ASI and give out T-shirts on there behalf for a funfly event but after weeks of emails , PM's and also a couple of skypes with no response to any of them i gave up, here i was trying to promote ASI.

PLease keep trying to get hold of Josef maybe if he reads this, Josef please help your customers i know your busy but customer service is the best advertising you can get.

PS. Hows the bab well i hope.

Kind Regards

Nick from Airstar did contact me, and resolved my order problems.

If should not be this hard to contact a company that sells expensive Helicopters.

There is no excuse for not returning phone calls or Emails!

If you don't have customer service you have nothing!

No matter how good your product is, it is worthless without support.

This is not an isolated experience. We ordered a 10K Turbine in West Palm Beach for one of the more affluent people down here and we had this exact issue.

My guess is hes working as hard as he can on as many orders as he can but its a ma and pa operation so there is like one guy that knows how to do the tech work.

Basically hes doing what military contractors love...build that back log and ride the wave...

But on the flip side...once you get it the heli does look nice. My opinion though he charges a HUGE premium and you don't even get the best electronics in the bird. I expected 8717 servos or a high end Futaba Brushless...we got Futaba Coreless servos...wtf.

update
I am still waiting. All I got so far is a PM from someone at Airstar first asking if I have skype and then a second PM commenting on my tag line for my user id. Is this a joke or something? I stated exactly what I needed and I don't think this is too much to ask. I asked them to email me a quote for repairing my orange mongoose that I crashed. I want a dollar quote and a time estimate to completion. It has been over two months since I sent it, and I have not received anything from them. Airstar, if you see this, please email me the quote. I sent you my email address - I just don't want to post it on here. Please! I love my heli and I really want it back! Thanks so much. I don't mean to sound like a jerk but I am really beginning to wonder what is going on. Thanks!

...and I do want to add that their service since then has been first rate. They have taken alot of time in explaining different options to me, and have really made a huge effort to make me happy. And I really do appreciate their efforts. I will be buying an airwolf fuse and mechanics from them as well. That will be two Airstar machines I will have now. Time to sell off my spectra and predator gasser!
