Fed Ex just delivered my new Walkera D02 minutes ago. When I opened the box I saw D03 on the FRONT of the box with a picture of a motor on the tail..."NOOOO!" I was on the phone with the shipper within minutes. Customer service asked me to open it and see if it was the wrong box. It was the wrong box, correct heli. Then I looked at the BACK of the box and it says 'D02' and shows the correct one...? Maybe I should sell the box on ebay as a D03/D02'flaw'

Either way, Im happy they got it right.

1st flight V120D02

This heli flies great! It is by far the easiest flying micro heli Ive ever owned. It feels bigger than it is.

I did have to reverse the pitch channel in my tx. It arrived with the Aileron/Pitch flopped on the rx and I had to leave it that way as was suggested in the setup page I followed.

The only 'issue' I had was that the stabilizer holder was binding at full pos pitch because the mixing base assembly was too high on the mainshaft (in its factory cut grooves) causing the arms to bind.

In order to center it and achieve an even travel in both pos and neg direction, I had to ignore the channel cut in the main shaft and lower the hub. I hope thats ok to do that?

I was able to hover nose in on my first flight in a small kitchen. These have come a long ways since my Hornet II nightmares of years ago.

those mixing arms

I have two v120d02's. Those mixing arms are so fragile they can, and will, fly apart in mid-flight. pick up a supply of them, and a bunch of the front taildrive gears, which are also fragile.

or, instead upgrade both parts of the heli

I highly recommend Heli-worx V1 FBL head
http://www.heli-worx.de/shop/#Flyba...orkopf-V1(49187)

and their 48mm titanium main driveshaft.

Titan-Hauptrotorwelle (48)
http://www.heli-worx.de/shop/#Produkte(29010212049)
the drive shaft is out of stock right now. it is required form the head.

The V1 head has no mixing arms. and it is great. you will need no other parts other than these to upgrade the crappy walkera FBL head.

the front taildrive gear can be replaced with a metal one by emailing wolfgang at wolfgang.neumayr@gmx.at. just inquire about his metal gear for the v120d02.

these two upgrades will make your new heli a joy to fly. without these upgrades, in my opinion, the heli has serious drawbacks. Replacing that front gear will drive you nuts. Its the first thing to go in a crash. its not easily replaced. and those mixing arms are a joke.

Jbpence

How much is the FBL head from Heli-Worx ? Can you convert that web page to English ? That head looks great without the mixing arms.

Thanks! What are the prices of the V1 and Shaft? Any chance of an English version?
