Hey man, that looks great. You just needed a Sea Gull to fly off of one of those Sail Masts as you were coming up to it to get some really cool slow motion stuff.

Are you having any issues focusing that beast? They only give you the "red" line around the object that is in focus for a focus assist from what I have read. I am looking to rent one for a day as soon as some rental shops get them to do some testing.

haha, Wayne

I actually aborted the flight with 2 min left on my pack due to how many damn seagulls were chasing me around! It was making me a bit nervous!

I have only tried to focus it to infinity so far and no problems. I have not even tried the focus assist yet. The weather has been so bad here it is pretty uninspiring to go shoot.

Wendell, I can cut a raw clip out when I get a few minutes in the office for you.

The weather has been so bad here that I have not flown in three weeks. I have started remodeling the house with ceramics just to have something to do. I am going to go insane if the weather doesn't break. I went to Ormond Beach FL for New Years and to see the inlaws and the temps were in the mid 70 degree range. I really miss FL this time of year.

Tabb,
Awesome clips as usual. Were you overcranking at 1080 60P? Looks like your gimbal stabilization is flawless, I'm amazed at how lock-in the horizon is.

Thanks Pat!

This was shot at 1080 24P with the variable frame rate set to 60, similar to 1080/60P but just played back on a 24P timeline.

Looks really good.

Does the lumix 7-14 provide 7-14mm zoom equivalent to 35mm standard, or is there a crop factor?

I would love to hear back your reports using the camera with other glass. It looks very promising for our aerial work.

7-14 lumix is a 14-28 equivalent in the 35mm world.

I will report back as I try some other options, have a few projects coming up that will be running other lenses.

Vortex,

Yes this was post stabilized, I dream of the day when the raw coming off my heli is good enough to get shipped out the door and look like this. I will post a raw clip at some point soon.

Hi Tabb

You did something wonderful, as usual!

Wow, what a fix for that Rototrworks mount!

We have been flying (up to a crash with total loss) a Full HD Panasonic GH1 (should be the same sensor as the AF100), it made great shoots, the lens was also great, even if I found it a little too much compressed.

Wish you all the best!

Lele, I'm pretty sure the GH1 does not have the same sensor as the AF100.

Fantastic work Tabb, your reels are something else.

Do you use virtual dub deshaker or is there another program out there?

Cheers Mate
