I am rusty. This Trex is squirrly, does not help when try to fly in 20 degree weather and 15 mile an hour winds What I noticed is my vision is not what it used to be and I am regretting getting such a small heli at my age.

Maybe I will sell this and get the 550.

How is the 550 as far visability and in winds up to 15MPH?

Much better visibility and far, far better wind handling.
That said, if you make the 450 Flybarless, you will have a whole different bird.
I fly my FBL 450 in winds that would have made me think hard about flying my 50 or 90 size a few years ago.

Put some flybar weights on and try some heavier blades like Radix, the Align 325D's are very light and aggressive. This will make it more stable. You can also use some softer dampeners.

60% of the time, it works every time!

I have a 450 pro I built late last year. Probably about 10-15 flights on it to date. Mase have been inside so raslly only hovering around. Didn't get to open it up and fly any pattern yet. Here are my words of advice:

1. Don't use the button screws that came with the kit. Pitch them and get some button screws, especally if they will be locktited. I got this recommendation a little too late and must say I really needed the advice.

2. Mine was a partly assembled ARF even though I can stand a heli that is not in kit form. There are screws that aren't locktited. You will need to check them.

3. Definitelly need expo, it is a hary little heli.

4. Note the tail servo is a different size then the rest. I made the mistake. Though yours are included I believe.

My helis are all larger nitros, so this little heli was a change. If I crash it, I have a feeling it will be tough to repair. Parts are just so small.

smaller parts are normally cheaper parts though

but then again i just crashed my 450 pro sunday and it ended up being like 100 bucks.

but good news is im pulling the 3g off and ordered yet another micro beast so everything will be running the beastX systems

Who cares... its just money...
