There are only a handful of companies in the world that produce chargers. It's really comes down to software and support. I think Voltz will excel in both!

Don't think we can call it a copy cat because it's made by the same company. It's more of a re-brand.

I wonder if they'll try to clone the new Thunderpower TP820CD that they just released. Mine is on the way. Kind of a kill-joy when you see a new name on the same product. /sigh Guess that's just how the hobby business rolls.

That new TP looks strangely like a Hyperion...

Good, it'll match my 615 Duo3 that it'll sit next to. Only difference is that it'll be 3 times more powerful. If Volt makes one that does a wattage in this range I'd buy it too. Why not right. But I do have a serious question...

So Volt does "affordable" cheap batteries. Do they do anything quality of their own products? I know Volt is part of a bigger name but is this Volt brand just for the clone market slash Turnigy rebadge world or do they do other things as well. Hadn't looked so thought I'd see if anybody out there knows anything about this particular brand.

I'll go check it out, thanks man. Weird, it says it can charge a Volt 6S 5100mah battery at 30amps but the max rated charge for that battery is only 20amps. Gotta love marketing huh.

I give up, happy with what I have and sorry I posted at all. Enjoy the rebrands guys, I'm sure you'll enjoy the new color scheme it has.

Charge rates for batteries keep going up so I imagine it won't be long before one comes along that exceeds the charger.

Don't give-up, you just don't have all the details (-:

For those interested in more info about the Voltz's charging line-up, where they come from and other details about them, go to RH's site, click on "Voltz Products", and then click on any of the charging products. When the description of the product comes up, scroll down to the bottom of the page, and Bert has some nice videos that clears the air concerning many of the questions guys are asking.

Voltz has two (not one) new charger. One's a 250W 6S, and the other is a 1000W 10S, as well as a 350W power supply. Prices look good.

FWIW, my definition of a "clone", is when a second company steals a design, produces an inferior copy, and sells it for less. The Voltz charging products are not "clones". They are built by the original manufacture for Voltz, with input from Voltz about the product (like software issues etc.). Happens all the time in the hobby.
