okay, i got a new problem, i was trying to check and see how hard it would push at full throttle, so i put it on a scale in my living room and spooled up at no pitch, but i must have pushed the left stick the wrong way cause that darn thing shot up into the ceiling!
it broke my chandelier and smashed into the drywall, i practically had to dig it some of the pieces.

it got broke pretty bad,

can i glue the broken pieces together like on an airplane, or should i get new pieces?

Logoextreme22 - if you are serious, please seek out the help of someone in your local area to get things together again. 4k headspeed, spooling up a logo 400 indoors, gluing the pieces back together . . . it seems likely a trip to the emergency room is in your future.

why wouldn't you glue the pieces togetehr, its just a plastic toy helicopter.

sorry, no pictures, i had my camera close to the logo to take a picture of it spoooled up, and when all the broken parts came down it smashed my camera too, bummer.

whats wrong with spooling up indoors, i so it all the time with my walkera

So as far as rebuilding, i know i'm going to have to buy some parts (the ones i can't glue) but my job as a grocery bagger doesn't pay much. any idea how much it costs to fix one of these things?

I would just count my losses and buy an Air Hog from Walmart. They are cheap, you can glue them together after a crash, and you can fly them indoors. As an added bonus they fly as well as your Walkera does.

Logoextreme22,

Firstly, the Logo 400 is not a toy. There is very little that should be glued back together before flying again. It is extremely dangerous to attempt ever flying or spooling up a heli of that size and power indoors.

If have though spooled up my Logo 400 on the bench without main blades to identify a vibration problem using the spectrum anaylzer on the v-bar. though I was holding it firmly the whole time.

Next, I would definately re-assess your setup. With what you are currently running, like other have said you will have a ridiculous amount of head speed. The Logo 400 with stock 425mm size main blades should be anywhere from 2400-2700rpm depending on your flying style. Anything more and you risk serious damage. The frame is not designed for those loads. 1900kv at 6S is approx 42750rpm on the motor. 200T/20T gears gives a 10:1 ratio which gives roughly a 4275 head speed. That is off the planet.

At the very least you need to swap your pinion to a 14T or 15T and bring your throttle curve back to 85% in idleup. That will give you approx 2550-2600rpm headspeed depending on power losses. This is all using the standard 425mm main blades. The bigger the main blades, the lower the headspeed and longer boom needed.

Lastly referring to flybarless. You need a FBL controller to get the benefit out of the heli. Mikado Vbar, TotalG, microbeast etc are all these. It is a 3 axis gyro and works operate the cyclic and tail servo's to compensate for not having a flybar. If you only using a GY401 on the tail with no flybar. Stop immediately. Yes it is possible to fly FBL without a v-bar or like, but even experienced pilots have difficulty doing so.

It's seems pretty obvious from your comments that your pretty inexperienced and it's recommended you find help from a local heli club or good RC hobby shop that specializes in larger quality heli's. Not one that only sells packaged co-axials and alike.

If you have any more questions, feel free to post and we will try to assist as best we can. But please be cautious and treat the heli with utmost respect as it can be very dangerous.

Mind you, you could also be an experienced pilot sitting at home bored and baiting for a response to your posts which I guess i've bitten. But all in all, I think we have kind of diverted from the original topic of BLS153's in a Logo 400.

Logoextreme22 - Bugcatcher is on the money. You do truly need some guidance. You will be best served on RR by asking your questions in the appropriate forums under more specific subjects. You are not getting the attention you need in this forum mainly because it is very specific and would only attract people that are specifically interested in the topic or have experience with it.

That being said I'm still very much interested in how the BLS153's fair in the L400. I'm looking for the same feel as the BLS451's but wasn't sure if the smaller BLS servos have the same characteristics. It may be better to ask this on the servo forum.
