I'm upgrading my 50NX to the metal rotor hub and ran into an issue.

looking at century's page for the hub, it says 3 extra items are needed to make it work:

CN2350
HW3161A
CNBB0840

http://www.centuryheli.com/products...6¤tid=208

I ordered these parts but still seem to be missing something. The bearing or brass pieces that hold the metal see-saw in place in the metal head.

I noticed I didn't get the brass washers / pieces with the HW3161A like in the picture: http://www.centuryheli.com/products...m?prtnm=HW3161A

Is that what is supposed to go here? :

because the only bearings mentioned on the metal rotor page are the CNBB0840 and they clearly dont fit. They do however fit into the metal see saw (CN2350).

So are those brass washers / pieces (that I didn't get) suppose to fit into the metal rotor head and hold the see-saw pivot? or are the CNBB0840 listed on the website the incorrect ones to fit into the metal head? If so, what would be the correct bearing part numbers?

Well I have been studying your photos and referring to my metal head I have on my NX 50. The 0840 bearings are for the seesaw. The missing bearings are bigger. I believe them to be 3 x 10 x 4, CNBB310. I think that is what is missing. If you check the parts list for the metal head on Century's site they list these as rotor hub bearings.

but they dont list them as a requirement on this page:

http://www.centuryheli.com/products...6¤tid=208

So are there actually supposed to be bearings in there? what are the brass spacers / washers used for? Why aren't the proper sized bearings listed as requirements?

Btw- thanks for looking at yours and comparing

You are right, they don't list them as required, but this would not be the first time I have run into that problem. I have found that you can order large parts easily enough, but they don't always include little washers or grub screws that keep things together and or working properly. Bearings are another one of those instances where they don't include them with the parts. The brass inserts are for the plastic head (Hawk). If you send Century's customer help an e-mail they should be able to confirm the part number for the missing bearings. I hope that helps.

Thanks for the clarification. I'm wondering if the 0840 bearings are listed as a requirement on century's site in error. The stock 0840 bearings could have been taken out of the plastic see-saw and used in the metal one, so they really aren't a requirement since they are in the original kit.

I'm thinking the bearings that should be listed as a requirement are the ones used to hold in the see-saw pivot (HW3161A).

I'll let you guys know what they say about this...

So I talked with century and they did in fact have the incorrect bearings listed on their site. It now references the CNBB310 instead of the 0840 bearings:

http://www.centuryheli.com/products...6¤tid=208

Website fixed within 24 hours!

they even credited me back the cost of the 0840 bearings on my subsequent order for the correct bearings.

Way to go Century!
