T-Cut is a liquid light abrasive/polish/restorer.
To apply I take a clean paper kitchen towel and place it on the end of the bottle, invert the bottle, then apply to the Hatori. (Simple stuff really compared to the ritual that is compounds and polishing wheels etc), 2/3 bottle inversions and the whole pipe is covered. Let it all dry to a matte appearance (about 3/4mins) then polish up/remove it all again with more clean kitchen towels. Then once the black has finished appearing on the various kitchen towels that it may take to get to this stage I finish up with a microfiber towel, just when you think its looking awesome and cant possibly get any shinier the micro towel takes it way beyond into the realm of "damn that looks good". The results are very pleasing and it takes much less time and effort than using dremel wheels with compounds and the like ( I used to do this before trying the t-cut). Simple, quick and efficient. I prefer this method but still certainly appreciate the time, effort and skill that goes into other methods. Hat off to those that make this effort and have that skill.

Here's a thought regarding non IC heli owners that use batteries for fuel. They will always miss out on the joy and satisfaction of what is giving your pipe a right good polish!

I've always heard steel wool in various sizes was a good idea to polish metal. It's going to give more of a brushed look than shiny polish though. Which I would prefer cause the polish does not last very long.

Anything made to polish bare aluminum such as Mother's. Polished well the pipe will keep it's shine for a while and a simple repolish will bring it back to looking like new.

I have used mothers but the t-cut sounds super.

If you use steel wool, it will scratch and then everything will stick until the pipe is well coated and junk. It will have a nice thick coating of gooy insulation.

Simichrome.

i go for the Autosol metal polish, it puts a finish on aluminium like a mirror.

If it doesnt move and its meant too... use WD 40. If it moves and its not meant too...use duct tape!

Autosol works for me.

Simichrome metal polish has worked well for me over the years.
