Noticed firmware 3.26beta

http://www.castlecreations.com/down...rh-phoenix.html

Wanna go with governor again, who is using governor and what firmware is successful? Maybe 3.24beta best. Not sure about 3.26beta

I saw this comparison also.

Its this or vbar governor when it comes out for me.

Updated to Castle Link V3.28.1 and Firmware V3.26 beta on my ICE speedies last weekend.

CL has changed some of the explanations like set rpms. The firmware works fine, eliminated abrupt spool ups & smoothed it out.

I use gov mode set rpm in my speedies. Works well enough. You might as well use this until Vbar gov comes out.

Only noticed today CL V3.29 is out! Just when you think you're up to date, yet another update is out!

I'm running the 3.29 and 3.26 in Ice 100 and Ice HV120 as of this weekend .
I'm did noticed the spoolup was much smoother. I was running the 3.28.1 before and noticed this in Software revision History
"3.28.1 Beta 12/22/10 12.4MB •New Phoenix / Phoenix Ice software. Phoenix users, please discontinue use of version 3.28.1"
This may have been why i had to send back my Ice HV120 for a new one as the spoolup were scary then just quit working on the bench....They said my esc was defective and sent new one.

II think most the problems have been with ICE HV esc and within first 4-5 flights. There's dozen CC esc at my field and im only 1 thats had problem.

using latest on a ice lite 100

gov modes is working flawlessly for me.

the set rpm feature is a dream to set up.

definitely for tinkerers with many features to play with.

only drawback for me is the highest PWM is 24khz knowing my tango motor likes 33khz so i know im missing on some performance. still has more power than needed for my machine as is.

I know a kontronic esc will be a perfect match for my motor (duh?) but just cant justify their esc prices. The motor on the other hand was justifiable at almost half price at towers.

I crash, its inevitable. I can have my Ice 100 replaced for $70 and my p-80 for $55 flat rate. No clue for a kontronic.
