WOW !! Talk about a Blast from the Past. 10 years ago I use to fly with Jersey Shore Ultralights club. I had a Weedhopper and a Himax ultralight. Which was an all wood airframe. High wing version of the Minimax.

Cool! I'm familiar with the Hi-Max/Mini-Max (Team Aircraft). I purchased plans to build a Z-Max. But shortly after I did, I gave up on that to build a Spacewalker II (now a Warner Revolution). Sadly, that project never got going either...

What's neat about the Weedhopper, you can still get one!

Here is some photos of the club I use to fly with. Scroll thru the Photos and you will see one of my friends landing on a Carrier in the Phil. Navy Yard.

No Hyperlite but its a really nice airframe. weedhoppers,Himax,Phantom and a T-bird. I had more fun in that old weedhopper than anything. Used to go down to a Gravel pit and buzz the guys and motorcycles. It was alot of fun sneeking up behind them. and flying up the Delaware river going under all the Bridges
