12.8kg without camera, that is 25 pounds

anyhow, how did you manage to build such a heavy ship ?
what stock frame, if there is, are you building on ?

What gearing are you using?

What HS do you plan to fly at?

We routinely fly our e-Observer at 24 Lbs with 800mm+ blades. No problem with the right gearing and HS.

As it sits, your heli will draw just over 25 amps from the pack for a hover. With moderate flying it will draw 30 - 40 amps.
6 to 8 minute flight times with that battery leaving a little reserve.

Good luck.

How many mah did the lipo use in 6mins?

Scorpions due run hot sometimes. Also maybe check the bearings in the motor.

Look into reducing weight and RPM - thus reducing motor load.

Upload a PIC of your RIG.

Sorry for the delay, been out for the holidays...

At that weight, I prefer a bit higher HS, say a minimum of 1450, but we can take it as high as 1650 if needed. This may depend on your rotor head of course, if it can withstand the higher RPM and weight of the larger blades.

As with ANY AP machine, some experimentation on your part is necessary, and may require soem different gearing to get the headspeed you need for best results.

it is known that the power supply management to the motor, this is how watts are converted into mechanical force, depends on the controller, especially on timing and advance settings
you may want to fine tune those if you haven't already
