Whats up with Horizon Hobby? Are they ever going to get the E4 parts in stock? I bought an E4A before the summer, crashed it once and have been unable to get any E4 parts. Anyone know where I can get them? I remeber reading something about a vendor in Australia but is there any place local?

Beam Parts

Horizon is just the distributor. Advantage Hobby is the importer and has severely dropped the ball on Beam or Beam is not playing well. I asked for parts and info from Advantage many times and never get an answer. Give them a call and see what's up. We seem to be the only country having a problem tho.

Bummer. I'm tempted to convert my E4 to the previous model. At least I will be able to fly this bird. Shame this is such a great heli.

I'll give them a buzz and see what they say. Thanks.

I changed the title of my post to reflect E4"A". I was originally asking about the new version (E4 Advanced). Sorry for the confusion. Yes E4 parts are available but I still cant find any US dealers who are selling the newer version parts.

I may be wrong but I didn't think that the V2 was even being imported to the USA.

yes i made the mistake of buying it off ebay. I was unaware that the V2 was not being sold or supported in the states. Hoping Horizon Hobby will get the parts eventually. They are listed on their site but they have been listed as out of stock for a while now.

Not Advantage Hobby's fault.
It seems Beam, Korea is not responding to emails from Advantage Hobby according to information they provided to me.

I was able to get parts from http://www.revolutionrc.com.au in Australia.

Want to hear something lame? I ordered some EC5 connectors from a local hobby shop at the same time I ordered some Beam E4 parts from http://www.revolutionrc.com.au in Australia and guess which arrived first? The Beam E4 parts from Australia.
I was promised a week delivery from the local hobby shop and it took them well over two weeks.
I would have ordered the Beam E4 parts online from an American shop, but it looks like Beam is having problems in America.
As of yesterday neither Horizon Hobby nor Advantage Hobby have the Beam E4 kits listed and both are nearly out of stock of any parts that you will need in a crash.

What's up with that?

I love my Beam and still believe that it is the best 450 class helicopter on the market with no exception. But we need parts out here in the United States.

Hi Jay -
Do you know if there will be a new distributor for Beam in the United States? If so, when and who will it be?

Hi Jay -
Yeah, speaking of the bigger Beam. What is going on with the 600 size Beam? There have been rumors for more than a year. Is this ever going to be a real product? When?

Hi Jay -
I have only seen one photo of the Beam 600 size and it looks like a prototype. Do you know if there are more recent photographs available?
I am eagerly awaiting this Beam 600!

Len's letter/post seems a touch inflammatory to me. Wonder if his lawyer read that first??

I had good luck ordering from Australia as well - RCBits had parts and they arrived in 10 days for about 10 bucks. A little spendy on the prices due mostly to exchange, but for me, the Beam is well worth it.
