Someone at one of our local flying fields today told me that they hear rumour that JR will soon come out with a 50 size ARF.
Anyone else heard this? Any idea when? Pricing?

Galen,

The V50 has been out for some time, as an ARF with OS50... but in the UK only. If you do a search on this forum, you'll find a discussion of its merits and mods over stock Venture. In the UK it's about 400 UKP with engine.

Regards
Robin

I fly a Venture 50 in the UK. I bought it as a machine that was cheap to crash for progressing further with 3D. I chose it over the Raptor 50 V2 due to the fact that you can run 62cm blades which tends to kick the tendancy for the head to overspeed with the power from OS 50. I absolutley love it, they go like a bullet and have stacks of power for 3D, but also very stable. The only one thing I have found is that I am going through the rubber grommets (60070) for the spindle shaft very quickly due to aggressive flying. This makes it pretty difficult to track the model once the grommets break down. A harder grommet is required, hence my topic on tracking some down. If you get this model in the U.S....GET ONE!!!! They are a solid bargain!!
