Use a dremel tool and cut a slot in the screw, then use some heat from a soldering iron or small butane torch and then use a large screw driver to remove them.

To hover is divine, the alternative is rather PLANE.

Do what the previous poster said to do and in the future, don't use loctite on the align button head screws. I actually stripped a button head screw which had no loctite on it. These screws will not back out when hand tightened.

i wouldn't use butane torch on it as the cf frames will burn and form bubble looking things around the screws. i used a drill bit and broke the head off of the screw instead. it is harder to do but it doesn't ruin the look on the frames. change them to aftermarket screws, there are lots available to choose from. that's what i really hate about my t700n! i don't mind the bearings wearing out fast, but the stock screws are a pain in the arse!

I am building a 700F3C and had to change the posiiton of the wires for the engine . When I started taking the screws out one was very hard to turn . I took a butane torch and heated the Thorp allen driver tip , set it on the allen bolt and then when ahead and turn the bolt out . Voila !
Hope this works all the time !

Oh god , here we go again.

Its a common problem the screws suck, and anyone who posts on this thread that there isnt a problem or it hasnt happened to them is just plain out of the loop so disregard their comments.

Get better screws you'll be all set, period

Try this

The above suggestion (dremel slit) has worked for me. But if that fails, try this one if it is available where your are:

Craftsman drill out extractor

I used this to get a rounded out grub screw. Good luck.

Another frozen frame bolt locally hear just yesterday. I tried getting it out, really put some pressure on it and "snap!". I was sure it had finally released but looking closer I managed to tear the entire inside of the head out in one pop. The wrench did not slip, the metal in the head of the bolt just gave out. It took a LOT of pressure to cause that, my hand was hurting from the pressure.

My personal experience says to not use the stock 1-piece align frame bolts on the 600/700. 2 piece frame screws won't lock because of the separate "washer" against the frame.

I had to grind the rear frame bolts on the main shaft bearing blocks to clear the linkage.

I hear there are kits you can buy for the 600 & 700's that have better screws. Anyone know where to get them?
