I acquired a pretty much used up TT36 in a trade.
It wont be much good in a heli but should do fine
in an airplane.

Anybody have a CHEAP airplane muffler that will
fit the TT36? Doesnt matter if its dirty and grimy.

Thanks...

Mike

I have a (well, it LOOKS like new, smells like new, but no packaging) aircraft muffler that would be what you are hunting. $20 bucks shipped. Let me know. James

I can send a picture if necessary.

A TT .36 heli muffler will work (if you have landing gear) it just sticks a little low is all. It will run fine and the motor performs pretty well with a 10X6 APC on it.

Yes I have considered that. I have a stock Raptor 30 muffler
that would work. It just looks a little odd on a plane.

I just thought I would try to find a airplane muffler that would fit.

I received a muffler from AGRAV8 today but he
sent me a HELI muffler.

So Im still looking for an AIRPLANE style muffler
that will fit a TT36. Since I already paid $15 for muffler I
cant use it has to be cheap.

Hey, Mike

Just a bit overt with your comments today, are we not? I got your PM, and your email, and emailed you back. I suggest you take a look at them and get back to me on this.

FWIW, here is a copy of the email sent:

mike: the aircraft muffler has a longer neck and longer bodythan the heli
version. I have a heli one (broken) to compare it with. I am not sure now
what it is supposed to be...I looked at a picture on a website (not TT, as
they don't show anything but a .15 with a muffler), and although they don't
show it clearly, the 2 aircraft engines that are shown with mufflers look
(at least to me) to be the same as the one I sent you.

I for SURE didn't send you a heli muffler knowing it was not the aircraft
version. So, now we have established MY BAD. What would you like me to do
now?

END COPY

well?

I sent a reply to your email.

I apologize for the remarks. They were uncalled for.
I was more than a little upset.

Still I find it hard to believe that anyone that has been
In RC for any length of time doesnt know the basic
difference between a heli and an airplance muffler.
They point in different directions!

I asked for a picture of your muffler. But you sent instead
this link...

http://www.hobby-lobby.com/ttiger.htm

This clearly shows airplane engines with airplane style mufflers.
This lead me to believe what you were trying to sell me was
indeed an airplane muffler.

What you sent is a stock Raptor muffler that appears to have
come from a 30V2 kit.
