Alright guys, this one is WIERD!!!! So i finnaly got time to start breaking in my new TT50, hurray! I get her started, at about 2-3/4 turns out on the main needle, and set into a hover, and everything seems okay...then after about 5 minutes, my muffler falls off, oops , i go over there, and she is HOT, so i let her cool, get the muffler back on, and then richen her up to about 3-1/4 turns, but she seems to stay lean so i keep richening the needle, and it really seems like nothings happening. Now the fuel tank is getting low, and then the engine quits...nice little 5 ft auto , i go over to check her out, and she still feels hot, so i turn the needle out a bit more, and it falls off!! WHOA!! I take it all back to my stuff, get the needle back in, turn it all the way in, and then re-set it to about 2-3/4 turns, let it cool again, then start her up...everything seems to be going okay, i hover around for about 1/4 of a tank, then bring her back, land, and shut her off, go over to check, still hot...WHAT THE HE%% IS GOING ON!? Thanks for the help,
Aaron

P.S.- sorry...forgot to include this...on one of my re-starts, she wouldn't fire, so i check the glow plug, and it had come out!? Wierd...i dunno whats going on with this, any advice would be awesome, thanks alot....Oh, and what is a good temp for this engine to be running at when its not messed up or breaking in? Thanks again.

Sounds familiar...I just went through that trouble two weeks ago. First of all, the low/idle needle is in control of the fuel mixture for about the first 80% of throttle travel. The main needle controls about the last 20%.

Here is what I had to do to get mine running well. I started with the throttle barrel at the fully closed position and closed the idle needle completely, then open it 3 full turns. Open the main needle 2 3/4 turns from fully closed. Fire it up and test fly/tune from there.

My idle was a little rich, the mid range (when in a hover) was a little lean, and full throttle climbs were perfect. I then richened up the low needle a little at a time until the heli ran smoothly while in a hover. The main needle is pretty happy at 2 3/4, and my low needle ended up about 3 3/8 turns open from fully closed. It has great power, great smoke, and runs smoothly. I am running a headspeed of 1850. If your headspeed is too high, you may have a hard time tuning it during break in.
