With a heading hold gyro, you don't need any mixing, so your transmitter will work just fine. The GWS 2amp ESC is cheap, and works fine for the tail rotor ESC. This page shows how to connect everything. http://www.helihobby.com/html/separate_electronics.html

You'll love that motor, when you replace your stock tail motor, use the gws b2c motor, it's a little stronger and will last longer and holds the tail fine for smooth flying, you'll even be ok with the stock tail motor, only when you punch the throttle, you'll over power it quite a bit but when you smooth out, it's all good. You'll be very happy, Jeff pointed you in the right direction, you should be able to find everything you need to know on that little informational. Your Csm gyro will make things a lot easier and more fun, it'll be great on your bird, sell the hummingboard and get yourself an ics 50 esc like Jeff was saying, I never had problems with it, it's really reliable and inexpensive.

Honestly, I never used any other esc than the ics 50 for the tail myself but I've never had any problems at all both on my Hummingbird and my previous Piccolo. I been getting really good tail motor life with it also, the stock Hummingbird motor lasted me 25 flights or so of 15-20 minutes per flight, that's pretty good to me...
