Are you taliking about the pitch gauge on the Raptor frames? If so, you would do better to eyeball it.

I have the TT and the JR ProPo, I get the same reading on both of them. What brand do your friends use?

I too have used a mates tt one as per the link and I too thought the one I used was out and didn't make sence.
I currently am using a Asia copy of the older kalt style and it goes fine as compared to the tt one is a little easier to read and get a consistant result.

A easy test for accuracy and repeatability is to turn the pitch gauge upside down when on the same blade and it should read exactly the opposite .

I tend to use the gauge to check I'm in the ballpark then do my final tweaking by ear, the pitch gauge does make for a repeatable setup though.

Regards Don
