People with the same interest would be a good starting point. And finding a piece of dirt where you will have this club following the criteria set up by AMA guidlines is equally important also I would think.

I lost my infamous tag line.

To get a AMA club I think you only need about 3 people to get one going. Its not a big deal, I think you can download the info on AMAs site.

Cost

How much does it run price wise? We have the people just trying to figure out the funds.

I think around 35-50 dollars to become a AMA club.

Heli Club

Hello, My name is Scott and Im the Vp of West Valley Helicopter Club in Peoria,Az. We were formed on 09/23/03. Its alot of paper work and takes some time to complete all the papers. You will need to fill all 5 Board Members as well as a total of 5 members. You can double up on the Board members, but after that you will need a total of 5.The cost is $ 30.00 per year from AMA and $150.00 for a c3 non-profit #, for tax reasons. Keep at it, it is well worth it, I was learning to fly and start a club at the same time. Now 7 months later I have a Charted AMA Club and can Hover Inverted and do 1 360.
GOOD LUCK
