I know some folk fly to music during demo's, or more the music is a background to their flight, does anyone actually fly to music during their 'average, everyday flights' and what kind of music is it?

I've done some video of people flying, and tried to match music, but it is very difficult at times, I think it would be awesome to have a flight completely sequenced to music to watch, any vids? Particularly fond of Trance/Techno, but not picky.

This is what Artistic Aerobatics is all about. Any kind of music can be used, however the rules demand to alternate soft and fast pace sections for best performance and to exhibit all the facets of the pilot's ability. This is what was used during the music part of the 3D Masters.

Have a look at http://www.artistic-aerobatics.com

If you PM me I can provide you with some vastly different samples of what is used. Sorry I cannot make the URL public as those are made from copyrighted music. AA compulsory music - by necessity due to the music distribution rights problems - is made from public domain music. Playing the music on the flying field is a different thing, when there are spectators, e.g. during a competition, it is up to the organizer to pay the Performing Rights fees, but this is easy and not expensive, same as what applies to any event or place where music is played.

Here are some short AA videos. They were made during last year's World Grand Prix in the Czech Republic. They show both airplanes and helis.
The heli pilot is Petr Novotny who finished second behind JK at the 3D Masters this year.
Vids are Avi DivX format
