5 years and 250 gallons a year currently, as posted by him in a thread elsewhere on RunRyder.

He does fly pretty damn nice. He needs to get up here in the Northwest so we can see him in person.

Yep , some other pilots can learn a few things from Alan, not flying skills, but people skills, I think he gets it from his dad, nice people to know.
Prediction: 2004 Masters 1st place- Alan Szabo Jr.

Dave that is a stock raptor 90se. The only diffrerents from the kit is he has a fg canopy. Everything else is stock in the kit.

Alan is getting better and better all the time and you are right TT is very lucky to have the Szabo boys flying for them. Little Danny is really rocking this year to and should be watched closely to.

Way to go Alan!

YES he has a Gov on that model. However, his back up ship does not and fly the same. They just using a Gov for that proto-type motor that is looking very good to go into production from what I heard.

If you want him to come to your FF, ask him you be surprised what you might get. Alan Sr, Jr, and Danny some the best folks around. You will truly enjoy their company.

The set-up difference you might not be aware of is the Airtronics 94758 servos on the controls. The speed is like .07. He has to run a lith Ion 3600MaH Battery to get like 4 flights. Think his current draw is 1.5 amps. Thats why the heli responds so fast.

He also helped me fine tune my heli last weekend.

Ya Dave the model he flew in on sat and sunday was the new 90se kit with the gray metal frames and boom. That kit comes with the metal head and some of the other blue bling bling stuff.

I wonder what the price is going to be on that kit?

also it is a raptor 90 with a os 91 c-spec. the heli is mostly stock, even the bellcranks are the stock plastic. the only difference is he has a metal head, and v paddles. i think it is HIS flying skills, he makes the heli look like it is doing all the work. very good alan!

Hey Alan,

Thanks for showing the heli community how well a Raptor can fly with the right talent at the sticks.

Also, it's great that you are an active user of RunRyder. I'm sure everyone here, including myself, are glad that you offer help to fellow Raptor pilots! Keep it up!!

Is it possible to have a hero who is half my age? I got that video last week (Heli's gone wild - Ircha 2003) and I've just about worn Alans demo out. I'll watch it then haul a$$ to the sim to try a new trick. Hey, I can do it just like Alan! (cough, cough, not, cough). Yea right! This guy is amazing!
Better watch out Curtis...

I heard from a reliable source that the new stylus has a chaos switch and programming built into the radio. You just need the lastest szabo heli card is all.
What is this card? Is there a site for this? Oh, I have a 9CHP Futaba.

Work it~

AJ,

Some really good stuff there! I know better than anyone on how far you have come. It truly amazes me how much control you have over the machine.

So, I figure you owe me a lesson or two (it's only fair ya know). When does class go in session?

Alan Jr.

Hey the_Dave

Did Alan Jr pick up flying a heli really fast ?
I saw him for the first time at Ircha this year and he was truly amazing to watch, I would even say he had the best 3D Demo this year. Alan Jr will be top "DOG" before long .
