For a V1, you are pretty much limited to the stock black dampeners. I have modified the stock set-up by sleeving the 5mm spindle in the dampener area to 6mm, there by tightening the dampeners. A V2 head is worth the investment.

Al Magaloff is right the V2 head is well worth it. My 50v2 flys alot better then my 50v1 ever did ( R.I.P. ) hover is smother and you can get stiffer dampers for it if u wish. I only ever used the blue stock ones so cant comment on the red one's effectiveness.

The blues are stiffer than the black, the red is sometimes too stiff. p.s. Spit, welcome to RunRyder!

The sleeve idea works well if you don't want to buy a V2 head, bearings, etc. I just took a piece of 6mm tubing and drilled it out in a lathe to 5mm inside diameter. Then cut 2 pieces to length. Now you can use the V2 dampers. I use the blue ones that came in my 50 kit on my old V1 30. I use the red ones in my V2 50. We found the stiffer dampers help keep the midair boomstrikes away.
