I have always heard not to lubricate the ball links because they would collect dust, etc.
However, I bought some of this silicon lubricant from Century R/C. On it they mention that you should lubricate your ball links with it. Does anyone do that? Is it a bad idea?
Thanks,
Gary

It can't hurt much as long as the lube doesn't attack plastic. Mine get plenty of lube from the exhaust while flying inverted so I don't think that it could do much harm, but I may be wrong.

You definately don't want to lubricate the ball links, unless you particularly want to help then slip off in flight

if they´re oiled they makes dust stick to them, and it causes wear..

On every heli I have seen, the amount of oil coming out of the exhaust eventually lubes almost every part of the head! The heli becomes a "self-lubing" machine!!

I don't lube mine but I do try to clean the links with a high pressure air canister to get all the junk off at least once a month.
