I was flying at the field with my uncle today (Airman98) and he did the coolest thing that I have ever seen with a heli. He took his Lite Machine heli up really high and then came down at idle and the blades stopped and folded back in mid air and then he powered up and I could not believe my eyes and then he did it again. Has anyone ever done this before with a LMH???

sounds crazy, is his blades kinda loose in the grips, what would make then fold back in while falling sounds really cool.

We fly at a field near Carterville IL. It used to be a airplane field but we have converted almost everyone over to helis. The Lite Machine has a fixed pitch blade and I guess the stopping causes one to fold back. I didnt know if it would recover but it did with no problems.

Haven't seen it done with one of those little things but have seen one of those impact the earth and survive. I saw one Krause did and he folded his blades back on a Fury, had a boom strike, back to hold, back on, and flew it back in.
