I've searched the forums and seen you all talk about some blades causing "woof & poof", but what exactly is that?

I picked up some Razor pro 680's real cheap, are these ok for easy flying? I started flying using the Hirobo 660 woods and it was a rock in hover.

I'm still way new to helicopters but learning fast. You might remember me from about 5 months ago when I started flying my X-Spec and it crashed from loss of radio communication. It was rebuilt fast but with me racing on-road RC cars I haven’t had time to get back up in the air.

It only took me a couple of tanks to get the feel of hovering in one spot, and only a few days of hovering nose in and flying around very lazy, so maybe today I’ll get the chance to take the training gear off and do some lazy figure 8's.

Never go full retard!

There's "woof" and sometime but not always "Poof" The Woof is "a "coupled" aero-elastic divergence in blade feathering axis stability which is characterized by "large" one per rev blade feathering axis oscillations which result in a large excursion in tracking and the characteristic "woof" sound. The reasons are varied it can be due to blades with aft chord wise CG, poor pitch system stability, unfavorable "delta" feedback and bad luck. The Poof is when one of the blades contacts the tail boom

To put it a little more simply. Woof & poof occurs when the blades go wildly out of track. Usually unstable blades tend to woof & poof.

680s will be fine for whatever flying you do. Hovering to wild 3D. I would just stick to your woodies unil you get more stick time.
