I'm trying to install my new 86tooth delrin second gear in my Freya and I can't get it to spin freely!

I'm using the 95tooth delrin main gear & the EX metal auto hub.
The distance from the holes in the autorotation drive shaft (the ones that the 86tooth gear is mounted in) to the bottom of the bearing in the metal auto hub isn't large enough for the 86tooth delrin gear.

If I measure the distance from the top of the material that fit on the shaft, to the screw holes on the standard 86tooth plastic gear and compare that with the same distance in the 86tooth delrin gear, the delrin gear is about 1mm longer thus causing binding.

I could shave off some of the metal, but it'll be quite a task as I don't have a lathe and I can't grasp why it should be necessary in the first place.

Any help appreciated!!!

You must be doing something wrong. Mine installed without any problems! Could you have turned the gear up side down??? - if thats possible at all?

It's impossible to turn the gear upside down as the mounting holes in the delrin gear itself are beveled. If it WAS turned upside down it wouldn't change anything however.

I can't see where the problem lies.
The bearings in the metal auto hub are flush with the edges of the auto hub and can't be pressed further together (this would provide the extra distance I need).
The drive shaft is also seated completely flush with the top bearing and the only thing that I can do to make it work would be to either take off some material from the metal housing for the 86tooth gear or enlarge the holes in the drive shaft.

Pressing those two gears together enough can be tricky. Sometimes it looks like they're together as much as possible and they're not. If your measurements are absolutely correct & applicable, then this doesn't matter, obviously. But try squeezing those two things together as hard as you can. Don't worry about breaking the delrin.

Hmm, I took the entire assembly apart and assembled it again and now it fits perfectly!

Luckily I don't have any parts left...(remember the movie Doc Hollywood) ??

Thanks for your support!
