I could pick up an Airtronics RD6000. It has the 5 point pitch and throttle curves. Is this radio worth buying?
Can you do 3-d heli flight with this radio?
Anyone out there have one? Do you like it?
Thanks,
Gary

I would recomment you to pick a RD8000 it cost a little more than the RD6000 but the case is stronger and you have more feature, and yes if you have decided, the RD6000 will be a good choice for beginner to intermediated level.

RD6000

Yes gaanel you can do 3D with this radio. I still fly this radio today. The 6000 and 6000 super have the 5 point curves, not the sport.

I started on an RD6000. It is an exellent transmitter which will take you to 3D. I ran out of model memories and replaced mine. Due to the RD8000 you should be able to pick up a 6000 for very little money second hand.

I am using a borrowed one right now and it works just fine for me. I would get the 8000 as well....I have no open channels for a governor if I want to use one, or even an onboard battery meter....

The RD8000 cost about $25.00 more the the super. I would go the extra dollars.

Yes. definitely go with the RD 8000. I am currently using an RD 6000 Super and have yet to outgrow it or even find a reason to upgrade to the 8000 as of yet. If they would have offered the 8000 when I bought mine I would have spent the extra $25. Either way you will not be disappointed.

RD8000 has been great. I think the very little was updated besides the extra channels and a couple of other features. Basically they have the same programming/features.
