Has anyone tried these blades?

They are supposed to be much stiffer than the standard Mavrikk blades and have an extra layer of carbon fiber.

Ben,

I have used the Mavrikk standard blades on my Fury Expert since the start. I just switched to the Mavrikk Pros (700mm) They fly great!!! Makes the Heli preform like a pattern ship.

So, it sounds like you are saying that PRO blades are worth the extra price.

Yes,

In fact, If you are not happy with them just send them back to Heli Proz and they will refund your money. I think they are the best value for the money. The paint scheme looks cool on the heli.

I recently put a set of Maverrik Pro's on my Hawk. HUGE difference from the woodies. Much quieter and faster climbouts. They're not Rotortech's, but man they are nice. I love them.
Fiber GLASS would be a HUGE improvement over woodies. How about some one who has flown other blades like TT or V or MAH etc.

How do they compare? I like the $73 RS 700's myself, especially when
I shorten them to 300's

I liked the Pro blades better than the set of NHP Razors I had on my Caliber 30.

Weight and CG issues seem to raise their ugly heads in regards to Mavrick blades. A guy out at my field had a set of the PRO blades that were so far off there was no way to balance them. They did take them back and refund his money. Other sets have been dead on in weight and CG. I think that you just need to check them when they arrive. They certainly are not a bolt on and fly blade like MAH or V's.

blades

i have not flown the pros, but like the "carbon fiber" mavrikks better than the tt black and whites. both fly better than i can, but i believe the mavrikks are better in an auto. they seem to last longer at the end of the auto.

nels

just do it!

I used the pro 600 on my r50 and they worked great.

Nothing is ever so bad that it can't get worse

when you guys say better do you mean that for *overall* flying? does a good set of carbon blades take any load off the engine cause it's lighter? i just got a set of maverikk pros (550) and am wondering if i should run them now or wait until i get better. im still in the hovering stage

the reason why i got them is cause i read in a review for the ergo 30, the author highly recommended upgrading the blades. he said the fly way smoother than stock. but, from what i hear you really wont tell a difference until you get into 3D or more aerobatic maneuvers.

You will notice in a hover the nicer blades -- assuming you are controlled in a hover and know how your heli flys. First time i put some CF blades on it was noticable just lifting off. I would wait until you are into FF then stick them on there.

I agree with Spitfire.

I had always heard that you wont notice a difference in hovering, but I noticed a big difference. They are so much smoother and I had spend a lot of time balancing the woodies to get them just right. I feel that they are worth getting if you are relatively proficient at hovering (i.e. not crashing every week) just for the smoother flying plus the not having to balance them and glue in the roots and the covering commin off, etc, etc, etc.

I am just getting into forward flight and I would never go back to woodies.

600's &700's

I have flown both the mavrikk 600 and 700's pro blades. I think they are pretty good. I prefer the MAH double tapper now. But the mavrikks are good and easy to get. I have happen to have a single 700 pro if anyone is interested.
