Told a friend I'd get some cheap Freya spares for him while I was doing the rounds of the model shops in HK. Lucky me!!

Couldn't get these two

0404 750 main shaft
0404 397 stab bar

Through the language barrier I got the impression that these parts are discontinued (his Freya is old).

Anyone know what more recent parts could be used instead? Don't want to guess and find I've wasted money. I said I'd get the bits, so I'm keen to come up with a solution.

I have one of the older Freya's and neither of those numbers are right.

The mainshaft number is wrong and I think the stab bar number is supposed to be 347, not 397. Even w/ that, that (347) is the shorter 490mm stab bar, not the 550 'normal' stab bar.

The normal mainshaft is 414-111, my
hunch is that the 404750 number you're
quoting would fit one of the older Eagles
or perhaps the Tsurugi.

Ah

I'll have to go back to my pal and get the facts straight. The model may well be an old Eagle as opposed to an Eagle Freya.

I'll get there eventually
